Elaine is a former managing director  of an award-winning event management company with over 22 years’ experience in this capacity. During this time, she championed the development of employability skills in young people to give them the confidence to achieve.

She established Unlock Cyber in 2018, which is an employer-led initiative, supported by the University of the West of England. They work collaboratively alongside delivery partners involved in STEM and Computer Science to raise awareness, excite and engage young people about cyber security to nurture and develop a talent pipeline.

Unlock Cyber supports schools and colleges by creating and delivering activities, resources and careers events to help young people develop their cyber skills and knowledge. In 2025 Elaine was awarded an *MBE for services to education and cyber security.
