)
Birmingham, UK – National Cyber Security Show (NCSS) 2025, held from 8–10 April at the NEC Birmingham, concluded with record-breaking numbers, reinforcing its position as the UK’s leading cybersecurity event. Now firmly established within the Safety & Security Series, NCSS 2025 brought together 6,274 visitors and 73 exhibitors, offering unmatched opportunities for knowledge-sharing, networking, and innovation.
Spanning an impressive 55,000 SQM across the series with a 12% increase in attendee growth, the show floor was alive with energy as industry leaders, tech pioneers, and community trailblazers united to address today’s most pressing cyber threats and challenges. From live panels to immersive workshops, the event fostered a unique environment for collaboration and forward thinking.
Rachael Shattock, Event Director, commented:
“It’s fantastic to bring such a dynamic event to the Midlands—an area often overlooked in our industry. The energy this year was incredible, with packed sessions across all stages, especially those curated by SASIG. It was a real highlight to see our Community Village thrive, creating a platform for those who deserve it and an inclusive space for meaningful discussions. We’re so proud of how far the show has come, and we’re excited to keep growing it year after year. A heartfelt thank you to all our exhibitors, speakers, partners, and visitors—you made NCSS 2025 truly special.”
This year’s content programme reached new heights, with the SASIG Cyber Leaders’ Summit drawing standing-room-only crowds. A particular highlight was the panel session 'AI in Cybersecurity: Myth vs Reality', chaired by Tarquin Folliss OBE, and featuring Arunkumar Gopalan (Microsoft), Laura Bratu (Lenovo), and Philip Aiwekhoe (NPF Microfinance Bank Plc). This session unpacked the promise, peril, and practical realities of AI in modern cyber defence.
The NCSS exhibition floor was the beating heart of the event, showcasing the latest advancements in cyber security technology from industry-leading suppliers like Threatlocker, KnowBe4, and Arctic Wolf. Visitors explored a broad range of cutting-edge products and services tailored to modern organisational needs, such as:
- Threat Intelligence, Monitoring, Detection & Analysis
- Endpoint Security
- Application Security
- Internet of Things (IoT) Protection
- Incident Response & Management
Meanwhile, dedicated pavilions from IASME, TechUK, and ADS offered hands-on access to certification tools, pioneering technologies, and collaborative initiatives shaping the future of cyber security.
New for 2025, the Community Village became a vital space for informal, inclusive conversation—highlighted by a powerful appearance from Dr. Iretioluwa Akerele, Co-Founder of CyBlack. The Women in Industry programme also debuted with impactful panels and networking drinks, celebrating the influential women reshaping the future of the industry.
NCSS 2025’s dynamic networking experience was powered by live DJ sets from Cyber House Party, infusing energy into the end-of-day drinks. Thanks to our incredible attendees and sponsors, we proudly raised over £1,200 for the NSPCC through raffles and fundraising efforts.
NCSS 2025 was co-located with four major events—The Security Event, The Health & Safety Event, The Fire Safety Event, and The Workplace Event—creating one of the UK’s largest cross-sector gatherings focused on safety, security, and workplace transformation.
